“By the pricking of my thumbs / Something wicked this way comes.” 4.1.44-45

World Premiere: October 10, 2025 at Fly Studio, Ballet Memphis, Memphis, TN with original music by Brandon Carson & costumes by Elizabeth Bourgeois.

I'll forever be grateful to Bettye (Elizabeth) Kronstad for showing us the 1971 Roman Polanski film, which ignited my desire to someday play Macbeth and love for the play during my freshman year of high school. The messiness and complicated humanity of Macbeth and his wife spoke to me (as did the story's super-cool witches and general gothic atmosphere). My love of Shakespeare's plays and language only grows with each reading, but Macbeth holds a special place in my heart and mind.
